Samsung has done an incredible job with this handy little gadget.
In fact, it is so good that I had to review it for you guys.
Before we get into the Samsung Gear 360 VR Camera review, here is a short video to get you acquainted with the product’s main features:
Pretty cool, isn’t it? Let’s dig into the details:
About the Camera
To start off, the Samsung Gear 360 is one of the most lightweight cameras out there.
It also features a very compact design. But don’t be deceived by this product’s small size; it is capable of producing extremely high quality results.
Bring on the features:
This Samsung camera is IP53-certified, which means it is splash and dust resistant. This makes it somewhat adventure-friendly, but I’ll never advise you to overdo it.
It also allows you to record 360° videos and capture stunning wide angle shots.
Safe to say, the output quality is outstanding. You can capture images of up to 30 MP as well as 4K videos with this compact camera.
The bright F2.0 lenses of Samsung also let you capture clear, vivid content all day, even in low light. You can use it on your morning hike or during your night in the town, you’ll never have to worry about capturing great moments.
Social sharing made easy!
This camera lets you easily create, view and share your favorite experiences with the ones you love on different social media platforms.
It’s super easy to set up, and is so small that you’ll love how convenient it is to carry around. You can also expand the storage capacity of this camera to a maximum of 256 GB – that’s loads of data!
A couple of problem areas, though…
This Samsung camera is great, but it has very limited compatibility. This might be a big turn off for some people, since the product only works with Samsung devices.
Moreover, even though the video quality is great, you can’t record for more than 60 seconds. This makes prolonged use of the camera quite an issue.
Yes, it comes with stuff:
You get a tiny tripod with this camera. So you can either fold it and move it around, or place it somewhere for steady recording.
- Excellent value for money
- Waterproof – but we’d recommend you not to use it underwater
- High quality output result
- Sharing on social media is super easy
- Storage capacity of up to 256 GB
- Limited compatibility – only works with Samsung devices
- Can’t produce videos of more than a minute
- Need to buy a MicroSD card separately to operate
The best part about the Samsung 360 camera is you can get it at a very reasonable price.
It can resist dust and water, and has the ability to capture amazing photos, scenery, and videos at both 180 or 360 degrees.
The camera can record top quality videos too, but the edit limit is only a minute which can be an issue for many.
All in all, the Samsung 360 is a wonderful little gadget at a very good price. But it comes with some frustratingly basic issues, like compatibility.
Samsung should definitely consider resolving this issue to increase the usage of this device.
